ABOUT MEG
Registered Nurse, Certified Personal Trainer & Nutrition Coach
WRITING FOR HEALTHIER, HAPPIER READERS
Did you know?
Nursing is the #1 most trusted profession.
And it’s been that way for over 20 years.
When a nurse talks, people listen. When a nurse writes, people read. Having “BSN, RN” in your bylines doesn’t just look legit — it boosts your brand’s credibility.
My purpose as a freelance health and fitness writer is to educate readers about those topics with evidence, empathy, and nuance.
Driven by a Purpose.
HOW I BECAME A HEALTH & WELLNESS WRITER
IT STARTED WITH A BS...
a Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Science.
I worked as a personal trainer, helping people take back their power and relearn to love themselves. Soon, I was inspired to trade in my sneakers for scrubs, get my Nursing degree, and start working bedside.
I didn’t know it then, but I was trading burpees for burnout.
I BECAME A NURSE...
to leave the healthcare industry better than I found it.
Determined to make a difference in patients’ lives — a super unique ‘why I became a nurse’ story, I know — I worked myself so hard. Too hard.
In a system that causes harm to patients and healthcare workers alike, there was no winning. I walked away.
I was still relentless in my vision for a healthcare system that heals and empowers patients from the inside out.
So I approached my work in a new way.
A NURSE WRITER...
I work towards the same mission I’ve always had. But now, it’s at scale.
Being a nurse writer and health journalist gives me the platform to connect with and educate thousands of people.
It also allows me to finally practice what I preach — prioritizing your well-being.
Writing allows me to take care of myself while taking care of others.
